Parcel is a fine political excoriation from Robert Burns, deploring the Act of Union at the beginning of the C18th, when the nobles of Scotland decided their pockets would be better lined if they threw in the country’s lot with Hanoverian England. The sentiments of resentment at being sold out are timeless. Parcel is followed by two bracing Irish hornpipes. Belfast Andi MacGabhann joins us on bodhrán and backing vocals. PH
